   I am self employed with a small construction company. going through a divorce. My wife and I destroyed our credit. I want to get everything caught up and start fresh . A bank would never give me a lone and I could never get caught up without one . any advice or is it hopeless.

   - no attorney fees

   I need this approved without upfront costs because I want no fees whatsoever that have to be paid before I can get this loan in my hand. I have to have a loan in the amount $100K.

    Sounds frightening Dee! Horrible what those “collectors” did with the hot ash in your hand! Unbelievable that someone could be so cruel.

    Your story comes from England so a very different location and time. However, it’s good to have a story about loan sharks, and how dangerous and “old school” loan shark can be.

    Loan sharks in the USA look different now – they wear suits and ties – they carry laptops and and iPhones, and collect applicant leads online. They’re predatory and should be criminals. They’re not though.

    Advice to anyone. These are legit companies in the UK my Dad used, Provident, Greenwood Prudential that you can borrow money from. Their interest rates I think are quite high, but they are proper businesses and not loan sharks, if you don’t or can’t make repayments, the worst that will happen is, they will take you to court and it could affect your credit ratings.

    But they are licenced companies, if you are in another country, sorry cant help, just advise before you borrow, check out that the company is legit and registered. Going to a loan shark is really not worth it.

    I remember when I was a very young child, these two men came round in suits. I knew they must have pushed their way in, cause my Mum would not just let in strange men. They asked her where my Dad was, she said at work, the one of them put hot ash in my hand, bearing in mind I was a young child and I must have only been about 4 or 5 years old.

    So obviously my Dad must have borrowed from loan sharks. My Mum had no phone to call police, so we were trapped basically. There was only one way in and out of the flat as well. Then they left, but I think it was a warning or something. It could have been much worse.

    Beware.

    Hi Joe, before you go the Hard Money Loan route, have you tried Prosper.com – private lenders pool their money to lend you capital at an interest rate that is based on your credit rating.

    Outside of that and conventional lenders (banks) you are going to need private capital by the sounds of it.

    I need assistance obtaining a hard money loan. I am a Network Engineer in a difficult situation. I need a hard money loan due to bad credit and a sizable past due child support debt. Also, I am experiencing two very positive events in my life. One, is my professional consulting ability is gaining positive business growth. Secondly, I along with a business partner, are at launch state with an internet based service for automotive dealerships. My business partner is the sales force for our service which we have market surveyed for viability. We found each other during the time of slow work activity, out of desperation to create a line of revenue.

    My primary objective is to maintain my home where I will be hosting our internet based service from a web server that I have designed just for this enterprise.

    I am in this situation due to slow business activity for the first half of this year. At this time, everything that I have worked so hard to produce is now ready for show time and I have no intentions on loosing it!

    Well before you can get serious borrower looking at approving a loan for you, you will need to provide some information;

    Where you live
    How long at address
    Where you work
    How much do you earn a month
    Do you have any other debt you are servicing
    How old are you
    How much money to you need to borrow
